The Pennsylvania Collegiate Bandmasters Association hosted by Shippensburg University Music & Theatre Arts Department presents:
The 74th Annual PENNSYLVANIA INTERCOLLEGIATE BAND FESTIVAL
Host: Trever R. Famulare, Shippensburg University
Guest Conductor: Richard Mark Heidel, EdD – University of Iowa
Founded in 1948, the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band is the oldest continually operating band of its kind in the United States.
Each year students from colleges and universities across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are chosen to participate.
A nationally known guest conductor is selected, and a challenging program of music is chosen.
Student musicians and their band directors travel to the host school for three days of intensive rehearsals. Their work begins on Friday and culminates in a concert on Sunday.
